The Krawler Joints are a revolutionary joint to the Jeep Industry. The housings are forged from chromoly steel, precision machined, heat treated for greater strength, and then plated for a high quality finish. The balls are all one piece units precision machined, made from 52100 series steel and chrome plated. The race ways are a quality poly graphite blend for the ultimate in wear resistence, longevity, and durability. These are the only joints on the market that provide the rated value of misalignment before the housing contacts the mounting brackets. Most other joints on the market are rated at +/- 30 degrees, but the housing contact the mounting brackets at +/- 10 degrees so +/- 10 is really what they offer. The Krawler Joints are easily rebuilt with normal hand tools. The pre-load of the joint can be adjusted while still in the vehicle!

How to service the joints:
The Krawler Joints are unique when it comes to service.
Gen II Joints had a socket head cap screw and service hole, we do not use or recommend grease! The Krawler Joints are to tight for grease which is designed to be used in flow through application. We simply recommend removing the service screw, putting in a few drops of 3 and 1 oil and then replacing the service screw everytime you perform an oil change.
Gen III Krawler Joints were designed to be service free for years! They come with a grease groove on the inside of the joint. When you feel they need to be serviced, back out the set screw holding the threaded retainer in, remove the threaded retainer, remove the ball and the poly race ways, then do a clean and inspect. If the race ways are good, then refill the grease groove with a high quality marine grade grease, put the far side race way back in, slide the ball in, put the near side race way in, apply some red loctite to the threaded retainer and tighten it all the way down, then tighten the set screw that holds the threaded retainer in.
For The Pro Series of Krawler Joints, which is what we are now using, is externally serviceable with a grease gun! They come with a grease groove on the inside of the joint. When you feel they need to be serviced, simply add some high quality marine grade grease. Please note: they will not take alot of grease all the time. The machined grease groove is small and the joints are tight!
